It explores their significance, objectives, causes, and artistic features, addressing the main question: How was the discourse of poetic messages formed among Asir’s poet. The study reviewed a number of examples and studied their discourse and the verbal components of the sender, receiver, message and situation. The study benefited from the principles of pragmatics and discourse analysis with what suits the nature of the poetic corpus that overlaps with other literary approaches such as the artistic and the historical approaches.
The study concludes that the poetic message among the poets of Asir in the studied period clearly featured the elements of discourse expressed in a coherent language and flexible rhythmic structure.
